5 Delicious homemade drink recipes to boost your immunity this winter
Healthy hot drinks in the winter are not only great for keeping warm but also for enhancing your immunity. Here, nutritionist Daria Korableva shares some of her favourite recipes for comforting homemade drinks to indulge in during the holiday season.
1. Golden Milk
For one serving
Ingredients:
- Coconut milk - 170 ml
- Turmeric - 1/3 tsp
- Cinnamon - ½ tsp
- Pinch of black pepper
- Honey / maple syrup
Method
Warm the milk and blend all the ingredients in a blender or cappuccino maker.

2. Chicory with dates
For one serving
Ingredients
- Chicory powder - 2 tsp.
- Cinnamon - to taste
- Dates soaked in water for 2 hours - 2 pieces
- Ginger root - 0,3 cm
- Hot water - 180 ml
Method:
Remove the puts from the dates and peel them. Grate ginger root. Blend all the ingredients with a blender until smooth.

3. Winter smoothie
For two servings
Ingredients
- Warm coconut/other vegetable milk - 190 ml
- Fresh pumpkin - 120 g
- Orange - 1 piece
- Persimmon - 1 piece
- Turmeric - 1/3 tsp
- Cinnamon - ½ tsp
- Pepper - a pinch
Method
Peel aed chop the pumpkin, orange and persimmon, and puree with a blender with the rest of the ingredients.

4. Spicy pumpkin latte
For 1-2 servings
Ingredients
- Roasted pumpkin - 45g
- Coconut milk 200ml + 50ml water
OR
- almond milk - 250 ml
- turmeric - 3 tsp
- cinnamon - 1/3 tsp
- ginger - ¼ tsp
- pinch of black pepper or chilli
- honey / maple syrup – to taste
- zest of 1 orange
Method
Heat the milk and blend in a blender with all the ingredients.

5. Rejuvenating cocoa
For one serving
Ingredients
- sugar-free cocoa - 1 tsp.
- curcuma- 1/3 tsp.
- cinnamon - 1/3 tsp.
- nutmeg/ginger - pinch
- cardamom - 1/4 tsp.
- black pepper - pinch
- coconut milk - 120 ml
- water - 120 ml
Method:
Add all the ingredients to a saucepan, whisk, bring to the boil and turn off.
Cocoa is a source of essential minerals that are important for a woman's peace of mind, mood and stable hormone levels. Cocoa contains a fair amount of magnesium, so it deserves a place in your diet. But you should also remember that cocoa contains caffeine, you should drink it before 5pm.
