The most striking Christmas fashion campaigns

As Christmas approaches, festive fashion holiday campaigns are everywhere, and some of them are really awe-inspiring. Influenced by cinema, technology, music and flashy outfits, here are some of the most captivating fashion campaigns we’ve ever seen, and that brilliantly capture the holiday spirit.

1. Prada: ‘A Midwinter’s Night Dream’ 2021

The Prada Holiday 2021 campaign, titled ‘A Midwinter’s Night Dream’, was presented in Los Angeles, and starred Taylor Russel, Julia Garner, Shira Haas, and Louis Partridge. Because there's no snow in LA, Glen Luchford, a British film director, made use of volume technology, bringing the physical and digital realities closer using a combination of LED-panels.

This campaign takes spectators on a journey through a virtual, mysterious adventure of four friends, based on an original story by Canadian screenwriter Mary Harron.

In addition to this short movie, Prada has taken a unique approach to winter, festive outfits: Think embroidered rhinestone and sequin mini-dresses, tulle skirts, cropped cashmere cardigans and single-breasted jackets.

The campaign is reminiscent of a theatrical performance with its flying cars, flashing lights and sparkling dresses. Watch it during the pre-holiday period and you're bound to get in the festive spirit.

2. ‘Gucci Gift’ Campaign 2022

The Gucci Gift Campaign, shot by Jordan Hemingway, takes us on a luxury train trip across the mountains of France to celebrate the new year vibes.

Sharing, caring and reflecting is what this short fashion story is about. The Gucci Gift campaign aims to showcase glamorous models with their own stories which we discover just by looking at them.

What Gucci woman will you be on New Year’s eve? Do you picture yourself in a dark-blue dress or a white fur jacket?

3. Miu Miu ‘Private Wishes’ Holiday Campaign 2022

“Anything your heart desires will come to you." That is the opening message in the Miu Miu Holiday Campaign, shot by Tyrone Lebon and styled by Lotta Volkova.

The campaign is a reflection of our inner thoughts and private desires and shows how we can translate our personal fantasies and individuality through what we wear.

Models in this campaign are seen wearing minimalistic but provocative garments in restrained natural colors, such as a buttoned black jacket and transparent flowing skirt, a white cady dress with feathers combined with satin ballerines, or an embroidered silk pearl top styled with a stretch midi skirt, perfectly combined with an iconic mini hobo bag.

But there is another subtext of the Miu Miu Holiday Campaign: The collection resembles a uniform. It is a modern interpretation of minimalistic fashion, and for Miuccia Prada it strikes the perfect balance between masculinity and femininity.

4. Short film “O NIGHT DIVINE” by Luca Guadagnino for Zara 2021

Luca Guadagnino's most beautiful holiday short film "O Night Divine" was shot for Zara.

Everyone familiar with the works of the Italian filmmaker will assure you that it is impossible not to be mesmerised by his films. His indifference to the world of fashion is amusing and if you haven't seen his film starring Tilda Swinton, titled "I Am Love'', styled by Raf Simons, you should.

It's incredible to witness how this fashion giant influenced Zara’s new business model, which now has embraced storytelling in its fashion campaigns just like so many other luxury brands.

Divine Hailey Gates and John C. Reilly as Santa, saturated colours and symmetrical composition create a sense of harmony, celebration and spirited universe. This film makes you want to embark on a trip to the mountains and to meet the love of your life in a hotel lift on Christmas night wearing your new, sophisticated evening black dress.
